Survival Expo 2012 In Las Vegas

The survival expo was everything we expected it to be and more.  It was packed with survival kits, bug out bags, ammo,  long term food storage, water filtration and shelter.  Some of the more memorable items included a large underground bomb shelter, a dooms day vehicle, concealed carry-on straps , solar panels and zombie target practice mannikins.  There was even a handbook for survival moms!

There were a lot of great deals on many of the items sold at the expo.  For instance, the underground bomb shelter provided by Atlas was on special for $59,000 at the show only.  Its a small price to pay to ensure the survival of you and your family, should the worst ever happen.  The one prerequisite to this type of shelter is that it requires you to own some land.

The inside was complete with four bunk beds, a couch, tv console, kitchen with microwave and mini fridge, toilet and 36 inch under floor storage, a place to store weapons and an escape hatch.

Here are some more photos of the inside of the bomb shelter

Another type of survival shelter, mainly for surviving storms and tornadoes, is the Survive-A-Storm shelter.  This company offers a geo locator service in the event that the entrance to your shelter becomes covered by debris.  An operator calls you to check on you in order to dispatch help.  This shelter also comes equipped with a 72 hour disaster preparedness kit like the one we provide at Survivalkit.com

After checking off the bomb shelter from your list for survival,  you would probably need something to travel with.  Here is what you would be traveling in on those rough terrains. You can even go for practice runs now on the dunes if you book a tour with them at www.sunbuggy.com and feel like Mad Max.

Now that you have something to travel with, you might want to do some target practice to ward off those mean zombies who are after your family and supplies.  Or you might just want to practice to sharpen up your hunting skills.   Check out the zombie mannikins Red Jacket Firearms had at the expo that you can use to practice with.  They gave them some character to make practice more interesting.

Another interesting target practice tool was this four legged stand that lets you shoot endlessly without having to pick it up to start all over.  This is because it always lands on three feet with a standing target for you to aim at.  No matter how it flips it still ends up with a target ready to shoot at.  Very cleaver!

To hide your weapons, use Deep Conceal straps that go around your waste and undetected when worn under regular clothes.  The straps are specially designed to hide your weapons with comfort and ease.  They even have custom shirts made with Velcro buttons so that you can quickly access your firearms.

We found many products at this expo that we thought our customers would like as well.  We want to add them to our list of products and you will see them on our site very soon.  Keep checking for updates and make sure you rate our products to let us know what you think about them.  You can also leave us comments regarding what you would like to see in the store in the near future.
