Make Napalm Out of Styrofoam

The effectiveness of napalm is pretty obvious to even the casual observer, and this material could enhance any security plans that you may already have in place. Creating your own batch is ridiculously easy and only takes a couple of minutes. If you have some gasoline along with Styrofoam, you can create an endless supply to have at your disposal. The only trick will be figuring out how to launch the substance at anyone who is breaching your perimeter. However, with a little bit of ingenuity, this shouldn’t be much of a problem.

The first step is to create the gooey substance, and all you need is some gasoline, a container and a good amount of Styrofoam. Fill the container about halfway up with gas and add broken pieces of Styrofoam until it breaks down and turns into a gel. Keep adding Styrofoam until most of the gas is soaked up or you run out of room. Drain the excess gasoline and reuse if you want to make more. You can take the material and insert it into small film canisters, soda cans, bottles of water or any other container that you want. Pill bottles also work really well.

All you need to do is ignite the material and it will adhere to any surface that it comes into contact with. It will also burn for a very long time. This is exceptionally dangerous and can cause serious injury to unprotected skin. However, it will also act as a powerful deterrent to anyone who is approaching you in a threatening manner.

The good news is that it is not very dangerous if not lit, and it will store without igniting as well. However, you will want to store it in a well-ventilated area due to the fumes that will emit from the product. You can even put it into balloons and use it as a grenade-type device. The only limitation to using homemade napalm is that you will need a way to ignite it as you are lobbing or shooting it at a target.

One solution may be to attach a fuse and lighting it before launch. The easiest way to do this is to take a firecracker and insert it into the center of the napalm container. You simply light the fuse, throw and wait for the blast. You can also use a fuse without the firecracker as well. Smaller firecrackers tend to produce less heat and spark than larger ones, so you may end up throwing some duds before you get the right combination worked out.

Finally, you may want to consider adding some phosphorous to the mixture before inserting the fuse. You can use the material that is found on the ends of matches to get the job done. Simply scrape off the ends and pour the powder into the gel, and insert the fuse in the middle. Light, wait, and throw. The gooey mess will spread on impact and create a very difficult situation for anyone who is confronted with this material.

Take some time, improvise and practice in order to come up with the right solution that works for you and for your needs. However, with a little calibration and practice, you can end up with a highly effective weapon that is very easy to make and utilize.
