Improved Honey Antibiotic Recipe that Everyone Needs to Make

One of the biggest threats during a disaster or SHTF situation comes from infections that we can get from a million and one different sources.  This is why it is so important to stock up on antibiotics, because supplies may not be available in the wake of a crisis.  However, there is one natural remedy that is well known for its bacteria-killing properties.  All you need is some real bee honey along with a couple other ingredients to create a batch that is easy to store and transport.

Preparing the Remedy

Put the honey, lemon and vinegar into a bowl and stir until all the ingredients are thoroughly mixed together.  Slowly add in the turmeric and pepper and stir until they are absorbed and blended into the mixture.  Adding them all at once can cause clumps to form and prevent the ingredients from being combined evenly.  This can impact the effectiveness of the remedy if someone gets a dose that lacks an even concentration of all the ingredients.  Once you finish mixing everything together and the finished product is consistent throughout, put the remedy in a container with a screw-top lid and refrigerate.  This remedy can last for up to three days.

Using the Remedy

We all can tell when we’re getting sick or starting to deal with an infection, and it’s important to start taking doses of this antibiotic as soon as you notice the development of symptoms.  Early intervention will help to kill off bacteria before it can multiply and spread, and hopefully symptoms will begin to subside within a day or two of treatment.

Start with a intensive dose, maybe ½ teaspoon every hour or so for the first day.  See if there is any improvement the second day.  If so, start to space the doses a few hours apart.  If symptoms don’t improve, keep up with the intensive therapy.  The goal is to gradually taper down the dose after the bulk of the bacteria has been killed off.  However, it’s important to take the medicine for a few days after symptoms disappear in order to kill any stragglers that remain in the body.

Side Effects

This natural antibiotic is tolerated well by most people.  However, it impacts the gallbladder by causing the muscles inside to contract, which could aggravate preexisting conditions.  It also reduces blood pressure and blood sugar levels in the body.  While this can also be a beneficial treatment for those with diabetes or high blood pressure, it can also pose a potential risk for those who have low blood pressure or sugar to begin with.  Be prepared to increase sugar in the diet for a couple of days while taking this remedy to offset this side-effect.

Remember that this remedy should be made as needed because it does not store well.  Scale down to make daily doses if you are not in a position to refrigerate the antibiotic for a few days.

While this remedy will not tackle every infection, and it will impact different people in different ways, it can help to stop common ailments in their tracks.  These can include colds, sinus and respiratory tract infections as well as infections that lead to flu-like symptoms.  It also makes for a great backup if you can’t get your hands on regular antibiotics or when your supplies run out.  Make sure to always keep a supply of ingredients on hand so you can whip up a batch in order to try to knock down infections before they get established and spread.
