Updated Note: 6/9/2014 – If you guy’s plan to build this, i would strongly suggest that you skip the second row of secondary air holes near the bottom of the pot. I added these holes as part of my first build before i fully understood the principles of woodgas stove construction. This second row of holes is a bit counter productive and it decreases the suction from the top row of secondary air where the main flame comes from.
Please watch my Version 3 “The Rocket” video, to see how this stoves performance is improved with a few modifications and tweaks. Here is the link to that video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2BTc…
Back to the original comments: This is a video of my latest DIY project, a portable woodgas stove out of quality stainless steel parts that could be found at any IKEA store for less then $20.
This makes an excellent backpackers camp stove just like the Bush Buddy or similar stoves, but without having to spend over $100 for something you could build yourself.
