Protect against Garage Door break ins from the hanger trick.
The 1×4 clears with about 3-4″ to spare. When the 1×4 gets close to the rail it is actually almost completely transitioned to horizontal movement. Since the 1×4 is flush with the outside of the door it adds nothing to the clearance while the door is moving horizontal.
Break into a garage in six seconds. I do it in 20 my first time.
