Thought you might like to know about this idea to seal mason jars without electricity!
A big thanks to Brewdaddy1911 telling me about Engineer775’s video on this little gizmo!
Engineer775 has an excellent video demonstrating this technique! Awesome job Engineer775!
Here is the link to his video : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rcxclm…
My journey:
I ordered the Actron brake bleeder hand pump from amazon (about $50 shipped) along with the regular jar and wide mouth jar sealer for the Food Saver (About $20 total).

Come check out my attempts at vacuusealing mason jars with dehydrated food without any electricity! 🙂 Although it can take a bit of strength to do ( I suggest 2 people or 1 person with really strong hands) it is successful at vacuusealing. This is a great tool to have in any prepper’s chest in case of a SHTF situation where the electricity goes out and you want to extend the shelf life of your dried foods! This will work for cookies, crackers, rice, pasta etc plus any dehydrated veggies too 🙂

I am very thankful to have this gizmo in my prepper arsenal.

To your health, longevity and peace of mind,
The Healthy Prepper 🙂
